2025 Invasive Species Conference February 20th & 21st
Newly Appointed Weed Commissioners' meeting February 19th 4-5pm
Hosted at Prairie Meadows Event Center, Altoona, IA
This year's conference has presentations on a wide range of weed related issues such as: Management techniques, Identification, Herbicide application, and Drone technology.
- Register now and take advantage of a great opportunity to network and refresh your knowledge with other natural resource personal and weed commissioners!
- 2025 CICs for categories: 1A-Ag, 2- Forestry, 5-Aquatic,6-Right-of-way, and 3OT Ornamental & Turf grass are included with registration and attendance.
- Wednesday Feb 19th at 4pm there is a special meeting held for Newly Appointed Weed Commissioners to help them understand what is expected of a County weed commissioner as well as the handling of day to day operations.
- Please Refer to agenda for registration times due to 3OT training will be the morning of February 20th and all other categories start in the afternoon.
- Hotel Reservations need to be made by January 17th 2025 at Prairie Meadows
- Alternative lodging- Super8, Comfort Inn, My Place Hotel, La Quinta, Best Western, Motel 6 and Quality Inn & Suites.
- Registration and Payment must be received by January 31st. After this date the price will increase to $300.
